Day 01

Easy arrival

Airport → Negombo

Your Sri Lanka journey starts with an airport welcome and private transfer, keeping the first day deliberately comfortable after the flight. Plan time for Airport welcome, Negombo lagoon, Rest before adventure, and Negombo beach. If the pace and local conditions allow, the day can also include Comfortable refreshment stop if needed. The coastal part of the day stays unhurried, leaving room for a swim, café stop or extra time by the ocean.

Day 02

Journey to elephant country

Negombo → Sigiriya

On this part of Wildlife & Beach Escape, travel Negombo to Sigiriya and spend the useful daylight hours on the places that make this section of Sri Lanka distinctive. Plan time for Scenic transfer, Sigiriya countryside, Leisure at hotel, and Sigiriya Rock Fortress. If the pace and local conditions allow, the day can also include Sigiriya Water Gardens and Lion’s Paw and summit ruins. The coastal part of the day stays unhurried, leaving room for a swim, café stop or extra time by the ocean.

Day 03

Sigiriya → Minneriya/Kaudulla

Today’s journey on Wildlife & Beach Escape runs Sigiriya to Minneriya/Kaudulla; the plan is full enough to be rewarding, but it still leaves room for traffic, weather and short breaks. Plan time for Sigiriya Rock Fortress, Village lunch optional, Elephant safari selected by wildlife conditions, and Minneriya or Kaudulla elephant safari selected by current wildlife conditions. If the pace and local conditions allow, the day can also include Open grassland and reservoir scenery and Elephant-viewing opportunities. Safari timing depends on park conditions and wildlife activity, so the exact drive window can be adjusted with local advice.

Across the island to the southern wilds

Sigiriya → Udawalawe

On this part of Wildlife & Beach Escape, travel Sigiriya to Udawalawe and spend the useful daylight hours on the places that make this section of Sri Lanka distinctive. Plan time for Scenic road journey, Rest stops, Nature lodge evening, and Udawalawe jeep safari. If the pace and local conditions allow, the day can also include Elephant Transit Home subject to feeding timetable and Udawalawe Reservoir scenery. Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed; the benefit of a private programme is being able to adapt the safari timing and rest stops sensibly.

Elephants and lakes

Udawalawe → Yala/Tissamaharama

This stage of Wildlife & Beach Escape follows Udawalawe to Yala/Tissamaharama, with the schedule shaped around the strongest experiences on the way. Plan time for Udawalawe safari or Transit Home subject to schedule, Transfer to Tissa, Tissa lake sunset, and Yala jeep safari. If the pace and local conditions allow, the day can also include Tissamaharama Lake and Leopard and elephant habitat. Safari timing depends on park conditions and wildlife activity, so the exact drive window can be adjusted with local advice.

Plan time for Yala safari, Coastal drive, Mirissa sunset, and Mirissa Beach. If the pace and local conditions allow, the day can also include Whale watching subject to season and sea conditions and Coconut Tree Hill. A full day around Mirissa on Wildlife & Beach Escape gives you time to see the important sights properly instead of treating the destination as a quick photo stop. Plan time for Optional whale watching subject to season/sea conditions, Coconut Tree Hill area, Beach leisure, and Mirissa Beach. If the pace and local conditions allow, the day can also include Whale watching subject to season and sea conditions and Parrot Rock / coastal viewpoint. Sea conditions and seasonal activities can change, so marine experiences are kept optional while beach time remains flexible.

Today’s journey on Wildlife & Beach Escape runs Mirissa to Bentota; the plan is full enough to be rewarding, but it still leaves room for traffic, weather and short breaks. Plan time for Galle Fort stop, Madu River optional, Bentota arrival, and Bentota Beach. If the pace and local conditions allow, the day can also include Madu River boat safari optional and Turtle conservation visit optional. The coastal part of the day stays unhurried, leaving room for a swim, café stop or extra time by the ocean.

Day 09

Beach morning & departure

Bentota → Airport

Finish Wildlife & Beach Escape with a relaxed final morning and enough time for the drive to Bandaranaike International Airport. Plan time for Leisure breakfast, Optional Colombo stop, Airport transfer, and Bentota beach morning if flight time allows. Sea conditions and seasonal activities can change, so marine experiences are kept optional while beach time remains flexible. When conditions are good, the driver can keep the coastal timing relaxed so you are not leaving the beach simply to follow a rigid clock.
