Today’s journey on Cultural Triangle Discovery runs Sigiriya to Polonnaruwa to Minneriya/Kaudulla; the plan is full enough to be rewarding, but it still leaves room for traffic, weather and short breaks. Plan time for Polonnaruwa ancient city, Reservoir landscapes, Optional elephant safari, and Royal Palace complex. If the pace and local conditions allow, the day can also include Minneriya or Kaudulla elephant safari selected by current wildlife conditions and Sacred Quadrangle / Vatadage. Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed; the benefit of a private programme is being able to adapt the safari timing and rest stops sensibly.
